All vehicles must be returned to either Cairns Office or Mission Beach Office. We offer a courtesy drop off to your accommodation or airport between the hours of:

  • Cairns Office: 7:30am - 5:00pm daily
  • Mission Beach Office: 8:00am - 4:45pm daily

Conditions


  • Minimum age requirement is 21 years for all vehicles.
  • We accept any overseas or international license as long as it is current.
  • We provide all customers with free tourist maps and information.
  • Capsules, baby seats and booster seats are available on request at a charge of $5.00 per day.
  • We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express, JCB and Bartercard. (5% surcharge applies to American Express, JCB and Diners Club.)
  • We are a local company with two offices - one in Cairns and one in Mission Beach.

We offer drop offs between these destinations only:

  • Cairns City
  • Cairns Airport
  • Mission Beach (2 hours south of Cairns)

A vehicle drop off fee applies in either direction as follows:

  • Cairns to Mission Beach — $50.00
  • Mission Beach to Cairns — $50.00

Return of vehicle:

All vehicles must be returned direct to either the Cairns or Mission Beach office.

  • Cairns — We offer a free drop off service to the airport and local CBD between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm daily.
  • Mission Beach — We offer a free drop off service to local hotels and Dunk Island transfers between the hours of 8:00am and 4:45pm daily.

An insurance excess applies on accidents with other vehicles as follows:

  • Persons over 25 years of age — $2000.00
  • Persons between 21 & 24 years of age — $3000.00

Collision Damage Waiver
It is possible to reduce the excess on most vehicles at a cost of $13.00 per day, which reduces as follows:

  • Persons over 25 years of age — $500.00
  • Persons between 21 & 25 years of age — $1000.00

Tyres and windscreen damage are not covered by insurance, however the customer can choose to pay an extra fee per day to cover any windscreen and tyre damage as follows:

  • All Cars — $5.00 per day

Insurance excess if involved in a single vehicle accident:

  • Persons over 25 years of age — $3000.00
  • Persons between 21 & 24 years of age —$4000.00

  • There is no insurance waiver applicable for single vehicle accidents.
  • We require a security deposit to cover this excess, either in the form of credit card or cash.
